This can be a tricky situation. It’s a Seller’s Market and you’re buying a house. You don’t want to be homeless and you’re not sure when you should put in notice.

Hi, I’m Ashley. I don’t know how long it takes to buy a house but my apartment wants me to give them notice. Is that something I should do?
Hi there Ashley, it’s Stephanie Carter of The Monarch Team at Keller Williams and it’s really good to be thinking ahead like this. Some leases actually require a 60-day notice so you want to know what the timelines are expected. That being said, you also want to make sure that you are under contract and passed the inspection and negotiations period because you want to make sure you’re committed to that house before you decide to leave where you’re currently living.
You do want to communicate with your agent along the way and they can help advise you and we just want to make sure that you’re taken care of because we love what we do and you will too!
Hope that helps and if you have any questions, tips or tricks, just give us a call. Have a great day!
